Head Admin/Information Systems (Abuja)

This role is to perform administrative functions, while also supervising the Information Technology department.

Responsibilities

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Interface between the company and relevant stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinate and enforce applicable company Standard Operating Procedures and protocols while interfacing with all other departmental heads.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory laws, health and safety and other statutory regulation.
  • Confer and cooperate with management in planning and organizing smooth operational and effective service delivery.
  • Provides communication system by identifying needs, evaluating options, maintaining equipment, maintaining voice and data subscription, and approving invoices.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationship with government officials, private industry officials, professional, service provider and other business-related stakeholders.
  • Initiate the Purchase of printed materials and forms by obtaining departmental requirements, negotiating price, quality and delivery, and approving invoices.
  • Oversees the day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processes.
  • Responsible for the management of company vehicles; General planning, coordinating and organizing of the transport unit.
  • Provides logistics and travel requirements.

Information Technology Responsibilities

  • Supervise the management of information technology, communications, and computer systems.
  • Evaluate user needs and system functionality and ensuring that ICT facilities meet these needs;
  • Planning, developing and implementing the ICT budget and obtaining competitive prices from suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness;
  • Oversee the installation of new systems, scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems;
  • Oversee the smooth running of all ICT systems, print services and email provision;
  • Ensuring that users adhere to software licensing laws, and offering appropriate support and advice;
  • Providing secure access to the network for remote users by ensuring up-to-date antivirus software is on the network;
  • Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems;
  • Mentoring and training new ICT support staff;
  • Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
  • Handle annual departmental budget and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Oversee the general function of the business center.
  • Ensure proper safety of all servers and IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and provide instant solutions to the challenges
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned.
