Our Client requires Area Sales Managers with a bias for canidates who have worked in the food and beverages FMCG sector. This role is responsible for the management of sales outlets and sales represenatatives, while  managing sales activities in determined geographical zones . The role is highly target driven . 



  • Achivement of  targets  for assigned geographical coverage; ensure Return on Investment on promotional activations and trade asset.
  • Monthly Sales Target & Distributors Management
  • Maintains the existing customers and expands customer
  • Interface with the Distributors, Retailers and Consumers.
  • Quarterly Surveys/ Reports
  • Regular Target Achievement
  • Develops strategies in keeping up to date with products and competitors.
  • Compares month to month sales performance to bridge any identified sale gaps
  • Delivers Classroom and In Field Training programs to calibrate Team 
  • Delivery of quality on-boarding programmes/inductions for new Joiners
  • Assists in delivering external training programmes for the Team.
  • Focus on leveraging on learnings from other categories and industries in experiential execution
  • Drive cost-effective material usage for existing POS materials
  • Lead the process of introducing, evaluating and deploying new POS materials for trade
  • Lead POS material evaluation and feedback mining on POS material effectiveness in trade

General Responsibilities

  • Ensures full delivery of the business target with coverage area i.e.100% achievement of depletion volumes into outlets within assigned open market, market share growth and outlet activation standards fully executed in all called on outlets.
  • Ensures listing of innovations and priority brands, and ability to pre-sell total portfolio in the right quantity within assigned outlets; also ensuring that pre-sold orders are fully delivered in time by
  • Drive incremental depletion through effective management of promotional activity in assigned outlets
  • Reviews outlet database with the Sales Manager on a monthly basis
  • Recommends and implements Sales recommendations to drive incremental depletions and counter competitive activities in all outlets within assigned coverage​


  • 6-8 years expereince in similar role
  • preferable age between 29-35 years 
  • 3-5 years expereince in similar field
  • 1st degree from a reputable univeristy compulsory
  • driven individual
  • with proven track record in sales and distribution
